Gmail
I should have already posted like 3 different stories about my travels already but for some reason haven’t gotten around to it. I’m also trying to get a photo gallery up as well but one thing after another catches me off hand so I forget or just don’t do it.
Anyway, I was recently invited to try out the infamous Gmail account offered from Google. With this free account, you get up to 1GB of storage space and really big attachments, possibly up to a gigabyte though I can’t remember. As well, they offer free POP3 support, meaning you can use your favorite mailing program such as Outlook or Outlook Express to send and receive your e-mails.
If you use hotmail or yahoo, you are limited to keeping anywhere between 100-250 MB, which is just a small percentage of what Gmail can do. You’re also limited to only using it through your browser rather than full POP3 support. On top of that, you will never have to put up with crappy little advertisements at the bottom of each sent e-mail again!
As of this statement, I have 50 invites to pass on to whomever would like an account. So, if you want want one, either e-mail me or leave a comment and your e-mail address and I’ll send you an invite.
