I love to travel.

But, right now I don’t have time or money to do it. Someday soon, hopefully, I’ll be able to take a big trip somewhere. But I have so many debts that I’m creating and repaying, thus I have little funds.

Still, I love finding gems like this website I just came across. It’s called Travelblog and it follows people as they journey across the country and world. They submit stories, experiences, photos, just about anything you can think of to this website for others to follow their experiences. What a GREAT idea! Luckily, I have my own website where I can do this, but on my next big trip, I’d totally consider using this website at the same time and blog on both.

In general, the majority of people who try to write in a weblog suck, but I think what helps Travelblog is the ability to view people’s photos in supplement to the stories. Some of blogs are bland, just okay, but if you find one with photos, they really add such a huge quality to the website.

This summer, for about 8 weeks I followed a girl who quit her job at the Houston Chronicle to attend grad school before going to be a nanny in Paris, France for the summer. “Au Paris” was the title, and with her journalistic background this story was always captivating. Her photos were very refreshing and it was interesting and exciting to read what she was doing and had to say about her time there. I must say, I can’t wait to visit Paris for the first time, and her stories only leave me wanting more: more to know, more to see, more to think about.

To walk up to the Notre Dame, stare in awe of its beauty and majesty.
To walk around the halls of the Lourve.
To see the Eiffel Tower at nighttime.
To visit Versailles, viewing the grandness of such a vast estate.
To smell the smell of the sidewalk cafe food and drinks.
To hear the tongues of a foreign language, some of which I understand.
To taste the unfamiliar, new, authentic food which would inevitably become my favorite.

These are the things I can’t wait to do someday in Paris.
